Coronavirus and School Network Concerns
Due to coronavirus concerns, students will not be returning to school for the rest of the 2019-2020 School Year. Governor Kay Ivey issued this statement outlining alternate methods of instruction set to begin April 6, 2020. We will post additional information as it becomes available.
Please pardon our progress, we are currently upgrading our network and server systems to better protect against cyber attacks. Please follow us on the Jasper City Schools Facebook page for updates and announcements.
We urge you to stay safe by following recommendations put forth by public health officials regarding coronavirus.
Jasper High School and the Jasper City Schools are joining the “Be The Light” Movement. We are using this opportunity to show support for Spring sports athletes whose season was cut short, but at the same time show support to our students, teachers, the Jasper community, as well as all the emergency workers, and most especially, to the seniors who will miss out on many experiences during the Spring semester. As part of this endeavor, we will light up athletic fields every Friday, beginning Good Friday, for the remainder of the school year at 8:20 pm (20:20 military time). We will keep lights on for 20 minutes as a symbol of our thoughts, prayers, and love for our community and the class of 2020. We are also asking all members of the Jasper Community to turn their porch lights on every Friday from 8:20-8:40 p.m.
