Coronavirus and School Network Concerns
Due to coronavirus concerns, students will not be returning to school for the rest of the 2019-2020 School Year. Governor Kay Ivey issued this statement outlining alternate methods of instruction set to begin April 6, 2020. We will post additional information as it becomes available.
Please pardon our progress, we are currently upgrading our network and server systems to better protect against cyber attacks. Please follow us on the Jasper City Schools Facebook page for updates and announcements.
We urge you to stay safe by following recommendations put forth by public health officials regarding coronavirus.
Kindergarten and pre-k registration will be held on March 16, 17, and 19. On Monday, 03.16.20, students with last names that begin with A-L can register any time between 3:30-5:30 PM. On Tuesday, 03.17.20, students with last names that begin with M-Z can register any time between 3:30-5:30 PM. Thursday, 03.19.20, is a make up day for any student who did not register earlier in the week.
For pre-k registration, students must be 4 on or before September 1, 2020. Registration for our pre-kindergarten program is not confirmed until the registration window closes and the selection process is complete. Admission to this locally funded pre-school is limited and based on specific criteria. This is a locally funded pre-kindergarten, and only available for students who reside within the city limits of Jasper.
For all students, if residency changes between the time of registration and the beginning of school, it must be updated with the school. Registering in March does not guarantee enrollment if a student has a change in residency outside of the Jasper City limits.
In order to register for kindergarten and pre-k, please provide the following information:
Pre-K Students must be 4 on or before September 1, 2020.
Kindergarten Students must be 5 on or before September 1, 2020
