The first Diane Sweeney Coaching Academy is currently underway for the 2022-2023 school year in Alabama. Nominations for this endeavor were submitted for coaches currently practicing in their field, from AMSTI (Math) and from ARI (Literacy).  Linda Runyan and Angela Harbin were selected for this innovative opportunity, to represent the Jasper City Schools.  They are currently participating in coaching training with leadership and with guidance from Diane Sweeney, who has spent years as an educational consultant and as an author of numerous books about educational coaching.  They are increasing their coaching knowledge and techniques to utilize with partner teachers, for delivering impactful and engaging instruction. Student centered classrooms are the overall focus of this meaningful and powerful professional development.
